presents

Romance

Directed and Choreographed by
Javier Velasco

San Diego Ballet Romance

“Romantic…assured…expressive…seductive. Velasco mixes things up with the skill of a master chef…making it taste divine.” – San Diego Union-Tribune

Lovely and lyrical. Compelling and heartbreaking. SDB’s production’s of Shakespeare’s classics, romantic waltz’s and country music ballads have been moving San Diego audiences for the past two decades. This mixed program brings romantic highlights of past seasons together for a night of passion and romance.

Says Velasco, “We are still finalizing the evening, but it is for sure that sometime during the evening we will be seeing Verona’s star-crossed lovers along with the king and queen of the fairies and all of their attendants. Chopin and Patsy Cline will be heard along with many others. And yes there will be a few new pieces created just for the occasion.”
